About Kerry Agricultural Services
Seamus O’Connor involvement with Tractors and farm machinery began when he joined Blenerhassetts back in 1968 as a stores assistant. Blenerhassetts were then the main Dealers for Massey Ferguson Tractors where Seamus rose through the ranks to become the Sales Director. Subsequently Blenerhassetts became Kerry Farm Machinery, during the years 1976,77,78 Seamus recorded the highest sales of any individual for Massey Ferguson in Ireland.
During 1980’s times became considerably tougher and for an organisation the size of Kerry Farm Machinery. It was during this time Seamus decided to go it alone and set up “Kerry Agricultural Services Ltd” KAS Ltd, when it focused on bringing second hand imported tractors from the UK to the Kerry and Munster farmers.
Following a successful number of years Seamus was then approached by Zetor Ireland to represent the brand in Kerry and to provide the level of support and customer service that the Kerry farmers receive today.
In 2001 Seamus relocated the business from Tralee to where the business started over 25 Years to the farm located in Ballyfinnane, near Firies. Seamus invested heavily in the facilities, which included a new entrance and signage to ensure customers can easily locate "Kerry Agri". Customers who make the visit will be able to see at first hand a large range of new products on display in the newly created display area, together with new workshop and parts storage for the extensive range of spares carried to support the products sold.
